Heads up! The whole new album is available to hear at 92.1 ZEW “The Sound Of Mobile” because Paul is headlining at The Hangout Music Festival…http://92zew.net/wordpress/?p=9108
It is amazing. I think “Surprise” was the best albuim of last decade, and that it is as great as “Heart & Bones”, “Graceland”, or “Rhythm Of The Saints” (or “Bookends” or “Bridge Over Troubled Water” as well). This album is that great. I didn’t know how he’d possibly follow up “Surprise”, but he’s done something different but equal to the quality of that work.

Sure looks like it will be. There’s a holding page now on PaulSimon.com advertising the Christmas song and mentioning it’s from the new album (a little weird it’ll be on an album released in Spring), and underneath the Christmas single artwork are both the Hear Music and Concord Music Group logos. So I guess HearMusic is releasing this and Concord will be handling the album.

I wonder if there’s provision for this album to eventually go to Legacy? It seems odd to get the catalogue in one place, only to add something new elsewhere.
